The College-Ready Promise spoke at the California Charter School Association Conference this week on the topic of Evaluation,Support,Compensation: Lessons from The College-Ready Promise. The session covered plans and lessons learned from the past two years of pioneering large-scale teacher development systems across our CMO’s 85 schools. Several administrators, teachers, parents, and policy makers were in attendance representing CMOs and independent charters. We answered questions to: How do you align teacher supports and professional development to real, meaningful, multi-measured evaluations? How d you devise a teacher development system that provides a transparent career path for teachers? How do you use academic growth in evaluations?
TCRP was represented on the panel by Chris Bertelli, TCRP’s Executive Director, Derrick Chau from Alliance College-Ready Public Schools, Philip Parker from Green Dot Public Schools, Jonathan Stewart from Partnership to Uplift Communities Schools, and James Gallagher from Aspire Public Schools.
